Knowledge is power. We are committed to ongoing education for the SCI/D community and to the general public to raise awareness and understanding of our unique needs. The many faces of our network include individuals living with SCI/D, caregivers, healthcare professionals, DME manufacturers and suppliers, and a multitude of other highly dedicated organizations.
Assistive Technology can be expensive, often making the ability to pay for it a problem for persons with limited or fixed incomes. Did you know assistive technology devices, adaptive equipment and durable medical equipment (DME) may be available through Recycle and Reuse programs?
Missouri Assistive Technology (MoAT) has three programs that give people access to reusable assistive technology. These reuse programs create an opportunity for those who need AT to get it at low cost or no cost. An added, “green” benefit is keeping usable equipment out of Missouri trash dumps.

Show Me Loans are low-interest loans available to enhance the independence of Missourians with a disability or age-related change. There are four types of Show Me Loans available of which applicants can apply for one of the four: General AT Loan, Micro Loan, Accessible Vehicle Loan and WorkAbility Loan.
Vocational Rehabilitation serves eligible Missouri citizens who have disabilities and who want to be employed. Types of services that could be provided include: pre employment transition services for highschool students with disabilities, assistive technology needed for employment, vocational training, transportation costs to help one participate in a training program, job-related tools and licenses, help in developing job seeking skills, and individual counseling.
